Baelzi Bagunda aka “Kibomango” is a former Congolese child soldier who lost his eye in a grenade attack while overthrowing the government in the 1997 coup d’etat. He escaped from the rebel group to start a new life in Goma as a mechanic while he pursued his dreams of becoming a professional boxer. Four years later as the new Congolese champion he began traveling the world fighting in South Africa, USA, Peru, and Europe. But after killing a man in the ring he discovered his faith in God, stepped away from fighting, and began his new purpose in life - as coach of an all-women boxing club. Now he uses his boxing skills and life experience to help young victims of sexual violence regain their confidence and overcome their traumas.
